Our 11-year old niece Heather has been playing violin professionally with The Clauson Family Music Show for the past couple of years. Quite an accomplishment for such a young lady, but this past weekend she topped it. Heather, along with dad Steve and mom Vicky went to the Country USA Music Festival in Oshkosh. They got to see Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood and a number of other big name performers. But Steve emailed the highlight of the weekend:

*“The thrill of the weekend though was on Sunday. Just like SummerFest, they have a main stage and then a couple side stages sponsored by the beer folks. Heather’s music teacher Brent was playing steel guitar for a band so we went to see them. They called Heather up on stage and had her do Cotton Eyed Joe on the fiddle. Pretty cool with a crowd pushing 1,000 people all cheering. A lot of the musicians came up to her backstage and shook her hand and a couple people asked her to sign her autograph on their festival shirts, so she was pretty thrilled. (So were we).” *

Very cool Heather, wish we could have been there to see it! Don’t forget your aunt and uncle in Ireland when you hit the big time!
