Last week I had the pleasure of presenting to the Wisconsin Student Planning Association on the use of social media and online tools for marketing yourself in the job search. You can see my presentation and links here.  

I was pleased to be invited by Leadership Wisconsin to speak at their annual conference in Wisconsin Dells this week. I did two sessions on social media, one an introductory session and the other an advanced session. You can find the presentations and all the links [here](http://irose.com/lw2011).

So it turns out it’s a little harder to give away money than you might think. The proceeds for the book Age of Conversation 3 (with an essay by yours truly) were originally to go to the Make a Wish Foundation. They, however, required all publicity linked to the donation to use the same words, etc. Kind of hard to do when there are almost 200 authors out there flogging the book.

A couple of weeks ago I attended the 2nd annual Midwest Rural Assembly in lovely South Sioux City, Nebraska. For those unfamiliar with the area, their main claim to fame seems to be as the location of the only casualty amongst the members of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Following the conference I spent a couple of hours at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center - quite a nice facility.

Rick Liebling, one of my fellow authors in the Age of Conversation project, is publishing a series of interviews with AOC3 authors on his blog. He’s just posted mine at his blog. Thanks Rick!
